I really don't want to review a place twice, However, My birthday dinner tonight was a takeout pizza from here. Fantastic, Outstanding and Wonderful! A year and a half since I last mentioned LT. Like fine wine, Only getting better with age!

Great pizza in a nice atmosphere.
If you're a fan of thin crust pizza then Leaning Tower is a must. I've only eaten one pizza here but I could tell by the business that night, they're consistent at it. The ingredients list was well stacked and they do provide a DMI staple, Graziano's sausage, so they had me from the start. A light sauce with just enough cheese - great pizza to enjoy a pitcher with.
I have a feeling I'll be eating many more pizzas from Leaning Tower in the future.
(Is that guy really complaining about the salad dressing in a pizza joint? Gezz)

Leaning Tower in Ankeny is still here and going strong. The pizza is ranking with the best thin crust pie in the Des Moines area. Love the sauce. Check it out. It's worth it.

I've been eating at Leaning Tower for over 30 years. It's the best pizza that I have been able to find in the Des Moines area. They sold a few years ago and they went through some "adjustments". Food went down for a while. Service sucked for a while. But it appears as though they are back at their game! They DESPERATELY need different dressings for their salads. The lettuce is pre chopped and out of a bag which doesn't score any points with me to begin with so for GOD'S SAKE get some new salad dressings!
Hidden Valley ranch has to be one of the most popular dressings out there. And maybe try an Italian dressing out of a bottle instead of the one you make. Home made is NOT always better. OK, I admit that before I had your Italian dressing I too thought that home made was always the route to go but you have proven me WRONG! And how about a French or some type of red dressing. Sysco has one called Stage Coach that is VERY GOOD and they are right there in town. By the way, their sauce is 10 times better that Tumea & Sons!

Leaning Tower of Pizza is a long-time establishment that, even though is part of a now larger suburb of Des Moines, still maintains it's small town atmosphere. The food there, yes they serve more than just pizza, is awesome. I usually sit myself down at the table with a specialty pizza named the Harrington. All the thin crusted pizzas are cooked the "old fashioned way" on a stone deck oven. Leaning Tower is a must go place if you're in to eating some good food with a casual environment.
