let's try it out!
This is a small low key bar, and I liked the setting. Several flatscreen tv's allow for different channels to be watched on different screens. I tried some appetizers, and they were tasty. The service was okay, but not great...i often had to flagg down someone for another drink.
One problem I DID have, was that I paid with my credit card for my tab, and left cash as the tip. When i checked my bank statement online, I found that the waitress ADDED more tip to my card! How rude!

We made a visit on a Bowl Game night. It was terrible. As soon as we walked in I was in a haze of smoke. I thought this was a smoke free bar. I was wrong about that. I was ok with it being a smokers bar, but how about some ventilation? There was none to speak of. If you watch someone smoke, you can see it hanging in the air. We left after one over priced drink. It'd make a great little hangout since it's small and cozy if there was ventilation or even better, smoke free. I've left Greenwood Lounge smelling better than I did this place. I'll visit again, just to make sure the first time wasn't indictive of all times.

Layout is too open and it's really small and cramped. No place to sit and relax. This is a bar for a much younger crowd. I'm 28 and love going out, but there are much more other fun bars in Ankeny with much more to do and drink prices are much less.

Almost as good as West Glen Tonic. This place is just what Ankeny has needed since I moved here from WDM. Just like WDM Tonic, this is an upscale sports bar and very nice.
I'd highly recommend Tonic, but prices are slightly more than I'd prefer. Overall I'd still have to choose Drink, the OFB, as the best bar in the Des Moines metro.
