After living in southern AZ and in CO I have tried a variety of Mexican restaurants - some better than others. Compared to all the places I have tried, this one ranks pretty well. The service is very quick, which is always nice. The salsa served with chips is probably some of the best I've ever tried at a restaurant - great flavor and just enough heat. The food is good - not the best ever, but definitely as good as many I have tried. And if they ever learn how to smother a burrito in red or green chili (earned a blank stare from the server), I will be happy to update this review with a higher rating).

I'll start by saying I really, really, really like El Rodeo...and this is not El Rodeo. However, I ended up liking this place a lot more than I thought I would. The salsa was good, if just a bit cilantro-y for my taste, and the chimichangas I got were also excellent. The decorations are a little bright, but it is a fun, festive atmosphere. The only knock I would give this place is the margaritas were terrible on the night I had one. Skip the drinks, and load up on the food and you should be alright.

I absolutely love mexican food and i have never been disappointed here! Their fajitas are the best in town and they usually come to your table in under 5 minutes. I haven't tried their sister restaurant Mazitlan yet, but i am willing to bet it's just as good.

Lots of great tasting food for a great price. The food was served so quickly, I didn't even have time to finish my bowl of cheese dip... and when it comes to cheese dip, I can eat like no other.

My girlfriend was impressed by the guacamole that was made with real avacados. I was impressed with the group of hot girls 2 tables away. Hey, we all have our vices.

Monterrey has consistently been a pleasure to visit!!! The service is attentive, but not intrusive. The food is served quickly,and has plenty of flavor. We order something different every time. We haven't been disappointed yet. You can get a decent margarita,a great meal, and all for what seem to be lunch prices. Mui bueno!
