I tend to make it over to the Stadium during my lunch hour. The food is ok, nothing special but not horrible by any means. They have a good selection of beer although they can be a little prcier than other bars downtown. Lot's of TVs to watch the daytime Cubs games. The arcade is ok. I like doing the mini bowling but it's a pain to find them available. Service has never been bad for me.

Gee, do ya think maybe "Family Fun" works or maybe owns InPlay? I've been to InPlay 3 times. It's supposed to be an adult arcade like Dave and Buster's but it's always full of annoying screaming kids. Leave them at Chuck E Cheese! The games suck, there aren't very many of them, and they're waaay over-priced. Played mini bowling the first time I was there and that was fun. Second and third time there I was told you have to rent the room to play. That's BS!

Its too often that people use these blogs to wreck the reputation of a great place. Times have changed, customer service is not like it used to be back in the 80's when "there's a helpful smile in every isle" Be happy you get good service, don't expect great when people are being paid minimum wage, you'll always be disappointed. Des Moines need more businesses, they provide jobs! Don't unjustly stab a business in the back, these people have families to support too. If you haven't worked in a resturant you don't understand how rude people are and who do they complain to ...rudecustomers.com. Try Inplay, its not 5 star dining but something to bring Desmoines out of the stone age.

We fiance and I tried out this place before the Home and Garden Show, and it was a pleasant surprise. Not the typical bar food - he got pasta while I enjoyed the Philly sammie with fries. The fries were lackluster with no seasoning, but the sandwich was great with it's toasted goodness. Our waitress was nowhere to be found after we ordered our food, so don't plan on prompt service.

The food is okay and they work on bringing in events. I haven't had the chance to try out the games yet. While the food may be ok, the service is TERRIBE! After waiting a long time to even get a waitress and a menu, it took another ten minutes to even get a beer. The waitresses stand in the kitchen talking, perhaps about who's boobs hang out more. On another trip the bartenders counted out tips and discussed the poor tippers right in front of us. For a location basing business on traffic from the Arena, they keep terrible hours. They aren't even open after events get out.

I will say my initial reaction to the fairly new Bar was a little bit of disappointment....but maybe it was the company I kept that day!! LOL!! Since then, myself and a bunch of friends that play softball together have gone and had great fun....most fun was had on the lower level playing the kid games and watching rock wall climbing...I didn't attempt in my stelettos!! - I don't think that's spelled correctly!! Anyway...is it fantasy land...no....but it's what you make of it and when we go there....we have a lot of fun!!

I have never been here but Nick's review is an outrage. Clearly the first two people have been to the place and do not work there. Nick clearly does work there and is not a unbiased review. Well I would assume and reader of these review should see through this in two second. I really am annoyed by militant viral marketing online, troll behavior all the way. I genuinely wanted to find out about this place after reading about in the local paper, the local links to see desmoines are out of date saying "will open february 2007" and their website is dreadfully out of date and unfinished. If this is any indication of what the place is like, I am not sure I want to go.

These two people don't know what they're talking about. They need to quit pining over their queer mixed drinks and relax and play some virtual tennis or attempt the 4-story rock wall. This is an adult playground, not a kid's playground - leave your kids at home, although the two times I've been there I did see quite a few kids with their families. If you like exciting non-smoking bars, this is an awesome place to see.

We spent an entire afternoon winning hundreds of tickets to compile them for a 500 ticket candy bar. That adds up to a $40 candy bar, yeah rip off. They charge 5 tickets for a starbust, one starbust. Many games were broken and we weren't able to find help to fix them.

My wife and I was here for opening week, and took part in the all you can play for $20. Wow for just opening up this place is really a dive! Most of the games are lame, and the price for drinks is outragous! I could not belive when I asked for a Long Island Iced Tea, a U.V. Blue and Lemonade, and a Sex On The Beach, that all of the bartenders had to colaborate and still had to look up each one of those drinks in a bartenders bible to figure out how to make them! And then one of the bartenders still managed to put in the wrong liquors! Well needless to say I will not be retuning to this place, even to use up the $20 credit I have on my card!
