nova now has first run movies just to let everyone know.

I absolutely love the premise of this theater. $5 gets you a ticket (to a 2nd round movie), small popcorn and small pop.

I wasn’t expecting anything fancy…I can deal with the older style row-seating and the outdated look, the cramped, cluster-filled lobby, but what I can’t deal with at a movie theater is when the acoustics are off. And not just off, but speakers were blown. In addition to the annoying crackling, hallow sound, the volume control was really loud at first, then really soft and eventually half way through the movie they got it right.

And maybe it was just that particular room we were in. So, all in all, fix the sound and I’ll be back.

We love going here - the price is right, and never packed. All but 5% of the movies coming out aren't worth the $8 to see them opening weekend... with a little patience, we'll wait to see them when they come to the Nova.
