I disagree about the food here. There is nothing worse than a restaurant claiming to represent Iowa home cooking and failing at it when out of towners come to eat. My breakfast was pretty good here, but any other meal of the day fails to satisfy (unless you want pure quantity). Service is good.

One of the best restaurants around! This is Iowa cooking at it's best. There is a large section of the menu that is devoted just to pork alone. All meals get sides that are served family style. If you have anough room for desert, the apple dumplings are unbelievable. They also have extemely good breakfest, way better than Perkins or IHOP.

feel like I'm at home - it's your home far from home. great selection of comfort food and my husband loves this restaurant, too.
the most recently i had meatloaf - it was sooooo good! and only problem is the meal was big for me. (probably 2 girls can share the meal)
well, i've found a reataurant that i can bring my family & friend. this restaurant has more than something for everybody.
...and since we just moved into the area, i can't wait what they can offer for holiday meals.

Always, always a great place for a big family meal. Food is served family style and I love the gift shop - lots of good finds. I recommend it!

This is the one restaurant my parents INSIST on going to when they're in town visiting. It's unique and has a great family atmosphere. Food is top notch (especially the brunch buffet!), and my kids love it too!

Nice atmosphere, fair prices, great food. One of the few places you can find liver and onions (if you want it, that is) :D Homemade dishes, definitely recommended....
