Urbandale Food Lover
Love Nana's. Once you get past the strip mall setting and enter the restaurant, feels like an old neighborhood eatery. If the owner is there, he is fantastic. Goes out of his way to know patron's names. Staff is super friendly to children. Fantastic family restaurant. Wonderful pizza. Can be crowded in the evening so go early. We also get takeout from here.

Looking for a casual Italian restaurant with delicious meals and friendly service, then Nana's it is. This Urbandale eatery impressed us with the warm welcome and the laid-back atmosphere that you normally don't get in an Italian joint. They don't mess with perfection and that is exactly what you get with the Spinach Ravioli in the marinara sauce. Accompanying the dish are warm, yummy breadsticks. And don't forget the homemade dressings that make for a wonderful salad. The portions are plenty and give you enough for a late night snack or lunch the next day. Their hours are convenient and offer free delivery and take out (their pizza is supposed to be good too!) So the atmosphere is a little rough, the staff makes up for it with warm greetings and a neighborhood feel. And food simply speaks for itself.
