Paddy's Irish Pub

The staff behind the bar is usually more concerned with flirting with female patrons then actually providing service in this noisy over crowded bar. The truly sad part about this bar is that it comes SO close to being the Irish Pub that Des Moines deserves. It has the look and feel, but covers it up with cheap paper advertisements given away by beer companies, massive TV's, and karaoke of all things. It seems like they are trying to be a sports bar and Irish Pub at the same time, something all to common in this town and most fail to be either effectively. Paddy's should embrace what they are, put on some Celtic music, get rid of the video games and be a truly unique bar.

Although often overcrowded on the weekends, it has a nice Irish pub atmosphere, even more unique than the others. Great beer selection. The crowd seems to be much more stuck up than at most other places. The customer base is almost exclusively in their 20's. Guinness on tap.
