I have never had a meal here I did not like. I have tried their sandwiches, prime rib, and fish and enjoyed all of them.
They have one of the best salad bars in Des Moines. The selections are always fresh and kept looking nice. I have never had bad service even when the place is packed.

One of the best kept secrets in town. If you love steak and seafood, go here! They have an enormous salad bar and their salads are delicious. Very recommended.

Des Moines hidden treasure and probably the BEST PRIME RIB ever! I have yet to find a prime rib more perfectly prepared; tender and juicy. The salad bar is excellent and the bar staff quick and friendly. The lobby greeter is usually lacking in friendliness but if you can get past her then you are in for a real treat.

Was there recently, and 1/2 remodeling done. Steaks and prime rib were done perfectly (and seemingly larger than advertised on the menu), friendly people, nice place. Also a bonus - very reasonable prices, I'd expect to pay more for the amount of food I was given.

Prime rib is their specialty, and it is very good.
The salad bar is good.
The building and location are out of date, but the low overhead gets passed on to the consumer, in other words: the prices are very reasonable.
At the time of this review they are in the middle of a remodel.

The prime rib special on Monday night was just great - prepared exactly as I ordered it, flavorful and very tender. The baked potato and warm bread could not have been any better, the salad bar was won-der-ful and the price was right, too. I took off 1/2 star only because they are in the midst of remodeling. I will be back quite soon and I'll try them for lunch, too. Based on my experience, Chicago Speakeasy could become my headquarters!

Love the salad bar at this place, the rest of the food is fair to good.
