I went because of the rave reviews in the Des Moines Register. I started with a bowl of broccoli cheese soup, which was lumpy and presumably from a frozen bag. My salad was all iceberg, which was an unexpected letdown. I had the deburgo, as theirs is supposed to be some of the best in town... it wasn't. The service was good though.

Love this casual place! It's dark and cool on a hot day and warm and cozy on a cold day. The seafood, chicken, andouille sausage bow-tie pasta is a favorite, but then, everything is good. Many dishes are ample enough to share.

The best the south side has to offer. Food is wonderful. Atmosphere very romantic.

Kind of sketchy looking from the outside, but the food is very good, a good special-occasion place...dimmly lit, and it's small dining rooms offer more privacy than a large open area.
