I just surprise to see what name in "des moines alive" did not changed yet to Irina's Restaurant & Bar, it changed hands about 2 y ago. It is a very cool place with great menu, cozy, friendly, fun on Fridays with karaoke in the bar area, nice owners ( ask Dmitri for a bar tricks), great selection of Russian beers, i got my number of baltika #4. I love the patio. I think it is a hidden neighborhood spot.

I liked this place. Food was good. Service was wonderful--they were especially kind to my children (I love that!). Only downside was that the eating area was a bit cramped with too many tables. Definitely going back. Is a good family dining experience.
